★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Forno is a taste of Italy right here in Wijchen. There is no better authentic Italian pizza within a 100km range. I also love their selection of aperitivi, antipasti and deserts. Another good sign: Italians living in the region come to Wijchen for Il Forno!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good pizzas! Nice dough and ingredients are fresh and well balanced on the pizza (not to much onion for example).
Ambience could be improved, but that is mostly due to the construction work that is done here at the moment

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For some reason we ended up in the lovely town of Wijchen. Hungry. First place we found was Il Forno. Totally prepared for a mediocre pizza, we were in for a surprise: In Il Forno they don’t serve pizza’s, they serve Pizza’s! Yes, that’s right, with a capital P. With love, dedication to craftsmanship and a clear vision of what a pizza should be. What can I say more. Beautiful. Lovely. Perfect crust, nice and fluffy ‘cornicione’, tasty toppings. Original weekly specials. No they don’t do pasta here. That’s why it says: ’Pizzeria’. Capisci? Oh and don’t forget the home-made desserts. Can’t wait to go back here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ English friendly. This is the best pizza in all of Northern Europe, no exceptions. The staff are so friendly and really helpful with the beer choices. The pizza speaks for itself, out of a stone oven, perfect crust, rich luxurious toppings, and the most perfect sauce that doesn’t overwhelm. If I could eat this pizza every day, I would. Try the chilli pepper oil on the crust, you won’t be disappointed!
