★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful and spacious nature reserve. You can come here multiple times and discover new parts every time. Variety of surroundings: forest, dunes, water. Great place to go deer spotting with kids, too. Interesting to learn about the natural water treatment that takes place here. Parking ticket is 2 euros and entrance is 3 euros for two people (there is no ticket check anywhere but we bought the ticket to support the area).

The best hidden gem around Amsterdam for spotting wild deer, fox and more. Lovely paths through the forest and dunes, perfect for easy hiking and to escape from busy Amsterdam.The area is used as an infiltration area for drinking water for the city of Amsterdam. Scenery changes quickly as you walk to the North Sea.
My advice to you is to divert from the paved road as soon as possible, if you wish to have the best nature experience.Very much recommended! Open from sunrise to sunset. You can buy your ticket at the ticket automate, which is placed by each entrance. Price EUR 1.5.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A visit for the dutch dunes is worth it. A piece of watermanagement here. It is quiet popular to visit in the weekend. So yeah, kinda busy. The deers are used to people but keep their distance. Nice.
