★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots to do, pool, beach with many facilities, shops, activities like a cruise ship. Makkum is pretty. Good bus to Makkum, Sneek, Heerenveen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best marina on the ijsselmeer. Close to the Waddenzee. Direct access to the lake for sweet water sailing. Great facilities with play areas. Shops and restaurants nearby, as well as a lovely coffee lounge for free coffee. A refurbished facility to wash dishes. Ask the people in the harbour master office for a BBQ to be used in the assigned BBQ area on the central main pontoon. The pool is well used with temp goes up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very neat, with swimming pool, some amenities for the children, good grocery shop, a few restaurants, sandy beach in walking distance. Havenmeister was friendly and helpful, facilities clean and easily accessible. Note the opening times for the watergate from inland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice Harbour close to Makkum. Shower and power included. You get a card for the shower (10 € deposit) that is also needed for the trash disposal. Shops and restaurants are within several minutes by feet. Going into the downtown is to far, but the near camping ground has a small shopping centre with restaurants and so on. There are also activities for children available.
