★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ik ben zelf naar deze school gegaan als allachtoon. De dominante cultuur was op deze school natuurlijk de Nederlandse. Ik zat in groep 8 in een klas met 30 mensen waar ik de enige allachtoon was. Ik werd erg gepest en de docenten deden er niks aan. Ik werd gepest omdat ik Turks en Moslim ben. Mijn vriendin werd ook erg gepest, ze was erg verlegen en was "raar". Nogsteeds de docenten deden niks, terwijl mijn ouders altijd klaagden over hoe ik werd gepest. Ik had nooit zin in school, ik was bang voor mijn klasgenoten. Soms sloegen de kinderen mij, ik ging huilend naar de docent, nogsteeds deden ze niks. De docent die ik in groep 7 en 8 heb gehad was naar mijn mening erg slecht. Ze schreeuwde altijd door de les en maakte kinderen bang. De meeste uit mijn klas waren bang voor haar en haatten haar. Ze zei altijd dat we ons veilig moesten voelen in haar klas, maar wanneer we haar iets vertelde werd ze boos. Geen enkel kind hoort dit mee te maken als groep 7 en 8 leerling. Het onderwijs op deze school is erg goed, het probleem is alleen dat er erg veel gepest wordt en de docenten niks doen.
I went to this school myself as an immigrant. The dominant culture at this school was of course the Dutch. I was in group 8 in a class with 30 people where I was the only ethnic minority. I was bullied a lot and the teachers didn't do anything about it. I was bullied because I am Turkish and Muslim. My girlfriend was also very bullied, she was very shy and was "weird". The teachers still did nothing, while my parents always complained about how I was being bullied. I never felt like going to school, I was afraid of my classmates. Sometimes the children beat me, I went to the teacher crying, still they did nothing. The teacher I had in grades 7 and 8 was very bad in my opinion. She always screamed throughout class and scared kids. Most of my class feared and hated her. She always told us to feel safe in her class, but when we told her something she got mad. No child should experience this as a group 7 and 8 student. The education at this school is very good, the only problem is that there is a lot of bullying and the teachers do nothing.
