Price wise is average, not particularly expensive if one takes into account that the items are imported from Japan. They have a loyalty card system in place.

If you're looking for somewhere local to pick up some Japanese food (even for a quick bite), Atariya is a good place to go!

Excellent service and advice from the staff and excellent mochi (sticky rice ball) and onigiri (rice triangle). Haven't tried the bento boxes, but it looks delicious. Best before dates are something to look at, because some of the products are almost expired. Even so, this is definitely one my favorite Japanese shops in NL.

It's really a real food that they put in the box. It doesn't taste like any other fast food companies that put their food in boxes. Atariya has shown me the uniqueness of Japanese food and their convenience stores.

Still know it from the time the 'ower' was running the shop, called 'Dank'. Some Japanese people still call it like this. You can also buy here snacks, ready to eat, Bento, etc.
C	Christina Kuo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the biggest Japanese grocery that you can find in Amsterdam. If you cannot find certain Japanese ingredients, you can always find it in Atariya for sure. The deli section serves sushi, onigiri and bento. The Japanese beer, food ingredients and rice collection is very impressive as well. The only reason that I can only rate 4/5 its because it’s not the cheapest place to purchase japanese grocery. Anyhow, do ask for loyalty card as it helps to save a bit, if you intend to visit the store regularly.
