Maar J. Zwijsen had een speciale betekenis in Tilburg als kapelaan van ’t Heike in Tilburg. De man werd uitgeroepen tot bisschop van 's-Hertogenbosch en Aartsbisschop van Utrecht. Hij stichtte in Tilburg zowel De Zusters van Liefde (Achter de Schouwburg) de Fraters van Tilburg (richting de Spoorzone). Het was een persoonlijke vriend van Koning Willem II en er wordt beweerd dat hij Willem op diens sterfbed tot het katholicisme bekeerde.
Tevens zullen vele mensen de naam 'Zwijsen' ook kennen van kinder- en schoolboeken. O.a. het bekende duo 'Puk & Muk', is van de Tilburgse uitgeverij, die vernoemd is naar de kapelaan. Maar ook leesmethodes Veilig Leren Lezen en Estafette komen hier uit voort.

But J. Zwijsen had a special meaning in Tilburg as a curate of 't Heike in Tilburg. The man was named bishop of 's-Hertogenbosch and Archbishop of Utrecht. He founded in Tilburg both The Sisters of Charity (Behind the Theater) the Brothers of Tilburg (towards the Spoorzone). It was a personal friend of King William II and it is claimed that he converted William to Catholicism on his deathbed.
Many people will also know the name 'Zwijsen' from children's and school books. Ao the well-known duo 'Puk & Muk' is from the Tilburg publishing house, which is named after the curate. But reading methods for Safe Reading and Relay also result from this.
