Het Joods Monument is een online monument voor de meer dan 104.000 mensen die in Nederland als Joden werden vervolgd en de Holocaust niet overleefden.
Binnen het monument werken bezoekers, redactie, familieleden en historici samen aan het bundelen van verhalen en herinneringen. Zo schetst het monument een veelzijdig beeld van de geschiedenis van de Tweede Wereldoorlog, de Sjoa en de Joodse gemeenschap in Nederland. Het Joods Monument is onderdeel van het Joods Cultureel Kwartier.

Utrecht 1940 - 1945
In memory of more than
twelve hundred Jewish members
of our community who did not survive
the Second World War.
Some of them had escaped
to this city.
Others were born and raised here.
The majority was carried off from
Maliebaan Station.
They were executed just because of
their Jewish background.
We commemorate them with the words of
Isaiah 49:16a.
