I have had, over the course of the last 13 years, three major pieces - all of which i cherish - done by Marcus. Our relationship and the stories behind those pieces reflects what is, in my mind, the optimal relationship between tattoo artist and client - one of respect, trust, understanding, shared values in the art and, ultimately the friendship that comes when those things are in place. When Joe Strummer died, I was devastated. He was my hero and guru, and I, luckily, got to know him personally towards the end of his life. I was living in Vermont at the time of the one year anniversary of his death and Marcus was passing through. A friend told me he was a huge fan and we met up - me armed with an idea and a bunch of rare clash/strummer stuff for Marcus. Five hours later, I ended up with a tribute piece I am truly proud of . It still stands out as so important and loved on what is now a heavily tattooed body. During this session, we bonded and I got to know more about his love for Tibetan work, among other things. Cut to 2013. I’ve had many animals but my dog Luna has been ‘the one’ - the soul mate dog. I realized she was aging and began feeling a lot of fear about losing her. I was told Marcus was taking no appointments during a brief trip to my hometown of NYC. I hit him up with the idea to do her portrait, as well as why, and he had me in the next day and gave me a perfect tribute to her in my upper inner bicep, close to my heart. During the time taken to execute this piece, we talked extensively of his frustration about not getting to do as much of what he truly wanted - traditional Tibetan spiritual art. That said, I hit Marcus up over email with an abstract concept - a white wolf in this very style. I had come to love his work and where his spirit was at to do the ultimate thing in getting the best possible piece - giving up skin for what the artist wants to do. He was extremely excited to be given that freedom and the piece he produced (mid ribs to knee) still astounds me in its beauty. While the three major pieces span over thirteen years, they are all favorites that I am honored and proud to have. All of this said, I am prompted to write this because my dog was diagnosed with cancer this weekend and I am just so grateful to - as I face losing my best friend - have her so close to my heart, thanks to Marcus. My chest / stomach are reserved for Marcus. He’s the one person that I’d say can masterfully do any style. If we lived closer, I’d be getting work from him all the time.

I got inked by Marcus and he did an incredible job covering up my old ugly tattoo with beautiful roses! Unique customized designs and internationally experienced artist. Excellent atmosphere. I would definitely recommend him!

Marcus is an amazing artist. He finished my sleeves over 10 years ago, and I am constantly remind how colorful and clean they are. Couldn't be happier with his work, and dedication to his craft.

Marcus did 2 half sleeve cover-ups on my right and left upper arms. He did a beautiful job. Both were done in one sitting each while He was guest spotting at Saved tattoo in Brooklyn, NY. USA. I would recommend Him to anyone looking for a really good tattoo without all the hype and drama. Marcus also did a cover-up on my girlfriend Cara on her hip. He did that in one sitting and he drew it on all free hand. He has been tattooing a long time and knows his stuff. Super talented artist and funny as hell, I highly recommend Marcus.
