★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kleine kamers waardoor rommelig, weinig personeel, lang wachten op hulp (met pijn). Met andere woorden hier wil je naasten niet zien lijden. Het is erg verdrietig voor mij om aan te zien.
Small rooms which make it messy, few staff, long wait for help (with pain). In other words, you don't want to see loved ones suffering. It is very sad for me to see.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mijn slechthorende en slechtziende grootvader is op deze prachtige locatie op de afdeling Boszicht geplaatst en hij heeft er uitstekende zorg gehad van begin tot einde. Alle lof voor het begane en bekwame personeel die voor een mooie tijd hebben gezorgd met de nodige gevarieerde uitstapjes.
My hearing impaired and visually impaired grandfather has been placed at this beautiful location in the Boszicht department and has had excellent care from start to finish. All praise for the ground and competent staff who have made for a great time with the necessary varied trips.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Kalorama zijn eigenlijk de patiënten niet in goede handen. In het weekend kreeg mijn vader geen lucht meer en pijn op de borst. Wij hebben gebeld en de zuster is gekomen. Verteld wat er aan de hand is en zij ging kijken voor een arts. Na 45 minuten kwam zij weer op de kamer met de mededeling dat er in het weekend geen arts aanwezig is. Zeer slechte zaak is dat. Paar dagen later pijn in de arm en de hand is wat dikker geworden. Wel de arts langs laten komen. Hij zag op tafel een tube zalf staan en zei toen smeer die zalf maar op de arm. Dat is ook niet goed. Ik zeg,ga hier niet heen. Zeer slecht is het in Kalorama.
In Kalorama, the patients are not in good hands. During the weekend my father ran out of air and chest pain. We called and the sister came. Tells what's going on and she went to see a doctor. After 45 minutes she returned to the room with the announcement that no doctor is present at the weekend. Very bad thing is that. Few days later pain in the arm and the hand has become somewhat thicker. Have the doctor come by. He saw a tube of ointment on the table and then said smear that ointment on the arm. That is not good either. I say don't go here. It is very bad in Kalorama.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De zorg op t hofke is op wat kleine akkefietjes wel goed zolang je met elkaar blijft communiceren.
Maar de warme maaltijd is te triest voor woorden, vooral als je bedenkt dat er sinds een kleine anderhalf jaar een super mooie keuken geplaatst is. Deze bewoners zijn van een generatie die gewend zijn aan aardappelen, groente en een stukje vlees. Dit is blijkbaar toch te hoog gegrepen voor de kok om dit te maken. Makkelijker is aardappelpuree en 3x in de week erwten of boontjes. En dan is t te warm om te koken en krijgt iedereen lekker makkelijk patat of een broodje hamburger!!!!!
The care at hofke is good on some minor issues as long as you continue to communicate with each other.
But the hot meal is too sad for words, especially when you consider that a super nice kitchen has been installed for almost a year and a half. These residents are from a generation that are used to potatoes, vegetables and a piece of meat. Apparently this is too ambitious for the cook to make this. Mashed potatoes and peas or beans three times a week is easier. And then it is too hot to cook and everyone gets nice and easy fries or a hamburger sandwich !!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ons mam heeft 10 weken op de sterrenberg gelegen. Personeel is zeer hartelijk en communicatie met doktoren etc. Verliep uiterst prettig. Daarnaast is de expertise uitmuntend. Resultaat is dat mijn moeder erg goed gereageerd heeft op de revalidatie. Zowel mentaal en fysiek is ze heel goed hersteld. De band van mij en mijn moeder waren erg goed... werd zelfs erg hecht na enige tijd.
Ook aangaande het restaurant en receptie was de benadering van de werknemers c.q. vrijwilligers uiterst vriendelijk en service gericht.
Weken na thuiskomst werd na een telefoontje de nazorg perfect opgepakt en georganiseerd ingeregeld in het huidige verzorgingstehuis.
Dus... dikke pluim voor de Sterrenberg... Kalorama... wij zijn erg dankbaar..!!

My relationship with my mother was very good ... in fact became very close after some time.
Also regarding the restaurant and reception, the approach of the employees or volunteers was extremely friendly and service oriented.
Weeks after returning home, after a phone call, the aftercare was perfectly handled and organized in the current nursing home.
So ... kudos to the Sterrenberg ... Kalorama ... we are very grateful .. !!
