β β β β β Kamini zorgt ervoor dat je met een positieve, ontspannen houding je bevalling tegemoet gaat. Ze creΓ«ert een goede sfeer in de groep, is flexibel en begripvol. Door de zwangerschap moest ik een aantal lessen skippen, maar er was altijd een oplossing.
Kamini ensures that you have a positive, relaxed attitude towards childbirth. She creates a good atmosphere in the group, is flexible and understanding. Because of the pregnancy I had to skip a few lessons, but there was always a solution.

β β β β β Ik heb bij Kamini een zwangerschaps yoga cursus gevolgd. Ik heb hier super veel aan gehad. Kamini vertelt je tijdens de cursus veel over hoe het menselijk lichaam werkt tijdens de zwangerschap en bevalling. Dit heeft mij zelfvertrouwen gegeven en ervoor gezorgd dat ik de bevalling als een mooie ervaring heb meegemaakt. Ik zou haar daarom zeker aanraden. Ook neemt ze echt de tijd voor iedereen en brengt mensen samen, vandaag hebben we nog een koffie gedaan met een aantal moeders plus babyβs uit het klasje en ons bevallingsverhaal gedeeld. Al met al zou ik haar dus zeker aanraden!
I followed a pregnancy yoga course at Kamini. I've had a great time with this. During the course, Kamini tells you a lot about how the human body works during pregnancy and childbirth. This gave me confidence and ensured that I experienced the birth as a beautiful experience. I would therefore definitely recommend her. She also really takes the time for everyone and brings people together, today we have a coffee with a number of mothers plus babies from the class and shared our birth story. All in all, I would definitely recommend her!

β β β β β Ik heb vorig jaar hele prettige yoga zwangerschapssessies gevolgd bij Kamini. Ik heb hierdoor veel geleerd over je houding en hoe bijzonder je lichaam werkt tijdens de zwangerschap! Grappig genoeg was ik hier minder bewust van tijdens mijn eerste zwangerschap ondanks ik destijds elders zwangerschapsyoga volgde, omdat ik Kamini toen nog niet kende. Ik had graag ook tijdens mijn eerste zwangerschap bij haar yoga willen doen! Kamini komt zeer kundig, geduldig en gepassioneerd over. Absoluut een aanrader ter voorbereiding op de bevalling en voor de liefhebber ook daarna!
I followed very nice yoga pregnancy sessions with Kamini last year. I have learned a lot about your posture and how special your body works during pregnancy! Funnily enough, I was less aware of this during my first pregnancy despite the fact that I was following pregnancy yoga elsewhere, because I did not know Kamini at the time. I would have liked to do my yoga during my first pregnancy! Kamini is very knowledgeable, patient and passionate about it. Definitely recommended in preparation for the delivery and for the enthusiast also afterwards!

β β β β β Attending Kaminiβs pregnancy yoga classes has been probably one of the best decisions during my recent pregnancy. Sheβs is so knowledgeable, empathic and sweet that you instantly feel at ease and time flies listening to her voice while doing the different exercises. Also she has been amazing to navigate some anxiety about pregnancy and giving birth and helped me personally more than anyone to embrace this experience in such a positive way Iβll be forever thankful.
If youβre pregnant in Amsterdam i cannot think of a better choice than her and youβll also learn so much about your pelvis, muscles etc that this info will become invaluable as a woman!
I hope this is helpful as I was quite lost as an expat when looking for a good yoga teacher and reviews always come in handy!

β β β β β I'm happy to have discovered Kamini's course on prenatal Alignment yoga, it made a big difference to how I experienced and navigated through my final trimester.
It is so important to take care of your body and mind during pregnancy and practice self care - Kamini's course was very practical and I could immediately put into place what I had learnt.
Kamini has a depth of knowledge, and due to the intimate group size (maximum of 12 women) she was able to provide individual attention, giving focus where it was needed for students who had specific ailments. In my case, since I was in the process of encouraging my breech baby to turn, Kamini suggested yoga positions for me to try out during each class and at home.
I found myself to be more relaxed after each weekly session , partly due to the gentle exercises, but also due to the content that Kamini delivers. By understanding the physical aspect of the labour process, I felt more prepared for the big day.
It was also great that there was a specific class where the partners could attend (one of the final sessions). I felt far more relaxed knowing that my husband had a better understanding of what to expect and how he could best support me.

β β β β β My experience at Kamini Stam prenatal yoga class was very good and positive. The things I loved about the class were:
(1) The smaller group size which means personal care & attention to each class attendee
(2) The detailed explanation of not only yoga techniques & postures but also the anatomical aspect of giving birth i.e. a better understanding of what is actually going on inside your body during pregnancy, the birthing process and then connecting these to the yoga postures & exercises being taught - put the whole thing in better perspective.
(4) The partner class which gives the partners as well a better understanding of the Dos & Don'ts during pregnancy & active labour
(4) The extremely friendly & pleasant demeanor of Kamini herself.
Things that may be improved/done better:
(1) Just one & that is - if we could have some notes / video recordings just as a technique to revise the yoga exercises being taught - though on our request Kamini will be providing the same to our class :)

β β β β β I followed Kamini's pregnancy yoga course during my second pregnancy. The practical tips about labour postures & state of mind and explanation about how our body works (and doesn't work!!) were super helpful and prepared me for the birth excellently. Although I had previously given birth, read books, done a course, her classes helped me to be totally in tune with myself due to which the labour couldn't have gone more smooth!
