Natuur maakt gelukkig!
Een gakkende gans die overvliegt, het zien van een mooie zonsondergang al staande op de witte brug bij Oud Amelisweerd, de witte velden met sneeuwklokjes of kersenbomen die ineens binnen een dag een mooie gloed met bloesem dragen...
Dit noem ik Natuur Geluk! Het bewust genieten van de natuur.
Wist je dat mensen die minimaal twee uur per week buiten in de natuur doorbrengen zich gezonder en gelukkiger voelen dan de mensen die dat niet doen? De Natuur doet mensen goed! De natuur geeft mij zelf innerlijke rust, ruimte in mijn hoofd en nieuwe ideeën! Ik wandel/ jog meerdere keren in de week door de bossen van Rhijnauwen en Amelisweerd. Al wandelend stimuleer ik mijn hersenen en zo is het idee van een homemade picknick ontstaan.
Met het organiseren van picknicks in de mooie natuur van Amelisweerd en Rhijnauwen wil ik ook jou en je dierbaren een Natuur Geluksmomentje bezorgen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hired a two person kayak for 2 hours (about 14 euro) and it was a really cheap and cheerful experience. The boats were sturdy and didn’t let any water in. You can choose between the ‘wildlife’ and ‘city’ routes, we chose the city as we hadn’t gotten a chance to see Utrecht yet and it fit perfectly in the two hours. (Will take even less time if both people kayak). We didn’t see any sights because the map got really wet, so it would be nice to have a waterproof sleeve or a laminated map. You can even kayak under super low bridges! If there was merchandise for this brand, my girlfriend and I would have struggled to have walked the 20 minutes home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cool place to go and rent a kanoo/boat and sail up and down the river next to it. Staff is really friendly and helpful, prices are really good. Going into the nature is really nice as you can easily find nice spots of peace and quiet. Do make a reservation beforehand, on nice days it can get really busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was life lasting experience, enjoyed to the core of heart...best thing is that its out of the city and you get to see outskirts of Utrecht.
A bit difficult to canoe against the water flow however it was amazingly enjoyable. People were very friendly and supportive to immatures.
A must try if you are in Utrecht.
