★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's such a shame because my first trip to Jottem was great, but I was disappointed with the service and results this time around.
I booked one of the hairdressers, but was cut by a different staff member without explanation (the hairdresser was in the store). I've never complained about a haircut, but for the first time I was unhappy enough with the results to say I didn't feel happy about the results. After I told her this, she asked her colleagues about the haircut, to which I was then told by the hairdresser I originally booked that the women in the pictures I showed all had different hair types to mine and that achieving that hairstyle for me would not be possible. Totally understandable, but why was I told this *after* my hair was cut, and not before? I also asked beforehand if the styles would work with my face shape, and the lady who cut my hair agreed.
I really hate drawing attention to myself or upsetting people - I really would not have spoken up if the final result wasn't so bad. They were jumping through hoops to convince me that my hair ended up similar to the reference picture, but it genuinely looked nothing like it. At this point, other customers were starting to stare too from my hairdresser asking for opinions which made me feel anxious and uncomfortable. I didn't want to make a scene so I said it's ok, paid the bill and left.
From experience, they're all very nice staff. Maybe I just caught everyone on a bad day. Either way, I'm too upset with the service and outcome to come back again.
