★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tolle Kirche. Gutes Objekt zur Ansteuerung auf dem Iysselmeer. Die Konzerte im Sommer waren besonders gut. Oben leicht abgeknickt! Innenraum sehr hell und schlicht gehalten.
Great church. Good property for approaching on the Iysselmeer. The concerts in summer were particularly good. Slightly kinked at the top! Interior kept very bright and simple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The impressive church of Hindeloopen dates back to 1638 when it was built on the foundations of the previous church. The bell tower is even as old as 1590, with one original bell surviving the second world war. There are 11 war graves in the adjacent cemetery, of airmen found in the wrecks of allied planes downed by the German occupiers. Altogether very much worth a visit.
