★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ik ben op excursie geweest o.l.v. Marcel de Jong, schrijver van het boek 'de Afscheiding'. Geweldig! Wat een geschiedenis en wat een apart dorp. Prachtige kerk. Het dorp ademt de geschiedenis van 1834. Een aanrader deze excursie. Zie site van Stichting Oude Groninger Kerken.
I went on an excursion with Marcel de Jong, author of the book 'de Afscheiding'. Awesome! What a history and what a separate village. Beautiful church. The village breathes the history of 1834. Highly recommended this excursion. See site of Stichting Oude Groninger Kerken.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wat een wondermooi bewaard gebleven kerk. Alleen het zien van de potkachels laat de herinnering aan het loeien van die dingen tijdens de kerstnachtdienst. Waarbij boer Willem met rode komen op de wangen steevast in slaap viel. Mooie jeugdherinneringen borrel boven.
What a wonderfully preserved church. Just seeing the stoves leaves the memory of howling those things on Christmas night shift. Where farmer Willem with red come on the cheeks invariably fell asleep. Beautiful childhood memories drink upstairs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kerk ligt op een mooi punt in het dorp, een indrukwekkend gebouw van buiten. Binnen is het veel baksteen, dat doet geen goed aan de sfeer die bij een oude kerk hoort. Bijzonder is de geschiedenis die hier geschreven is o.l.v. H. de Cock
Kerk is at a beautiful point in the village, an impressive building from the outside. Inside it is a lot of brick, which does not do much to the atmosphere that belongs to an old church. Special is the history that is written here, including H. de Cock
