★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zeer mooie kerstmark. Leuke parade. Minpunten: zeer weinig kraampjes met eten/drinken/je moet voor elke kerstmarkt (on de grotten) nog eens 7,5€ betalen om binnen te mogen
Very nice Christmas mark. Nice parade. Cons: very few food / drink stalls / you have to pay another € 7.5 for each Christmas market (in the caves) to be allowed in

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grote tegenvaller dit. De echte kerstmarkt is heel klein. Enige wat ze te bieden hebben zijn die laffe grotten waar je langs kraampjes met troep wordt geleid. Niet intrappen, niet eens naar deze kerstmarkt gaan!
Big disappointment this. The real Christmas market is very small. All they have to offer are those cowardly caves where you are led past stalls with junk. Don't fall for it, don't even go to this Christmas market!

Muß man unbedingt gesehen haben, hier haben die Römer schon Sandstein abgebaut, riesige Höhle, sehr gut begehbar, viele Sitzmöglichkeiten, Kaffees, Lecker Essen Trinken, schöne Stände, Live Musik, der Eintritt war 7,50€ Erwachsener aber lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, ist auch sehr gut mit Kinderwagen oder Rollstuhl begehbar, am besten ganzer Tag einplanen, dann gibt es noch eine Grotte und Weihnachtsmarkt in der schönen Stadt sowie ein Wonderland mit Rodelbahn Spitze !! ??
Really an experience ? Must have seen, the Romans here already sandstone mined, huge cave, very good walk, many seating, coffee, delicious food drinking, beautiful stalls, live music, the entrance was € 7.50 adult but worth it In any case, is also very good with pram or wheelchair walkable, the best plan of the day, then there is a grotto and Christmas market in the beautiful city and a Wonderland with toboggan run tip! ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you love Christmas market and want to feel the Christmas spirit.. you have to check this place out. Bet this is Netherlands best kept secret Christmas market. Back in Nov 2019, a colleague brought me to this lovely Christmas town. The entire town was beautifully decorated and had various themed Christmas markets along with choirs singing carols all around. My favourite was the Christmas market which was set up in an underground cave. It was extremely unique and is great for families. However, do note that it can be very crowded. Due to the limited capacity in the cave, only a certain amount of people are allowed in at a time. Best to go during weekdays. Furthermore, you will need to pay to enter. However, it is worth the Long queue and price.
If you are travelling from Amsterdam using public transport , best to put up a night here so that you can spend an entire day soaking in the atmosphere. The town really comes to live at night.
While strolling along, I was also fortunate enough to come across an Asian street food which sold one of the best Indonesian food iv had in Netherlands. The sambal, rendang and krapok was authentically Indonesian. I didn’t take down the restaurant’a name, however, the banner had ‘ Asian street food’ mentioned on it.
I will definitely bring my friends to visit this enchanted Christmas town in the years to come.
