β β β β β It is great place to spend time with kids there. Aniamals are running all free that you can touch and watch them. There are a lot kinds of chicken an many gouds. Next to the farm is a playground.
But all is in the direct sun. There is no shadow place. Just a few points but kids and parents walking and playing all the time in the sun.
There are toilets and a shop with drinks and ice-cream.

β β β β β This petting zoo is probably my favorite place in Groningen. All the goats there are so cute and friendly, and 3 cows often range free there as well. There are benches to sit on and pet the animals, and several sinks with soap to wash your hand before leaving. It's usually busy in the first part of the day, when parents bring their kids to the petting zoo, so I prefer visiting it just before closing time - that's also when the animals get their dinner hay and you can handfeed them with that hay. The goats are just adorable and follow you like puppies.

β β β β β Wonderful petting zoo, free of charge. Very spacious with a lot of animals to see and cuddle. There are several places to wash your hands and there's a small cafeteria to get hot drinks and small snacks to go. Due to covid, the indoor seating area is closed. But there are several picnic tables.
A highlight for the kids: the possibility for pony riding. It's only β¬2 for small round and β¬5 for a round around the park. After some instructions you'll can take the pony with you. A great concept. Today is the last day of the season for the ponies though. They'll be back in March. You can pay cash or by debit card.
There's free parking and there's a wonderful playground next door. There's also a toilet.
