Het contract was ondertekend en ik ging met mijn dochter nietsvermoedend naar haar eerste wendag, toen ik plotseling geweigerd werd met de mededeling dat mijn dochter bij nader inzien toch niet welkom was i.v.m. haar genetische aandoening. Of ik het mailtje met de afzegging niet ontvangen had… Nooit hebben zij n.a.v. haar diagnose waarvan zij op de hoogte waren ooit verder vragen gesteld, noch hebben ze mijn dochter überhaupt gezien om te kunnen bepalen wat de praktische implicaties van haar aandoening zijn. Hadden ze dat wel gedaan, dan hadden zij waarschijnlijk kunnen concluderen dat ze prima mee kan met de rest van de groep, zoals ze dat al 3 jaar op haar vorige opvang heeft gedaan.
Het enige dat ze hebben gedaan is hun laffe beslissing via e-mail kenbaar gemaakt (welke ik overigens nooit ontvangen heb). Een telefoontje met persoonlijke toelichting was kennelijk te confronterend en te veel gevraagd. Persoonlijke excuses n.a.v. deze ongemakkelijke situatie heb ik daarna ook nooit meer gehad. Kortom, mijn conclusie is dat de organisatie van deze opvang niet deugt en dat ik uiteindelijk blij ben dat ik mijn dochter niet onder hun verantwoordelijkheid achter hoef te laten.

The only thing they have done is made their cowardly decision known by e-mail (which I never received). A phone call with personal explanation was apparently too confrontational and too much to ask. I have never had any personal apologies regarding this uncomfortable situation. In short, my conclusion is that the organization of this daycare is not good and that I am ultimately happy that I do not have to leave my daughter under their responsibility.
