★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ten oosten van Foxwolde en Roderwolde langs het Peizerdiep ligt het natuurgebied De Kleibosch. Het gebied bestaat, zoals de naam al aangeeft, gedeeltelijk uit bos op een kleiondergrond. De klei die hier in de bodem zit wordt potklei genoemd. De bijzondere eigenschappen van deze, in Nederland zeldzaam voorkomende kleisoort, zijn bepalend geweest voor de unieke cultuurhistorie en natuurwaarden van het gebied. Een mooi natuurgebied.
The De Kleibosch nature reserve lies to the east of Foxwolde and Roderwolde along the Peizerdiep. The area, as the name implies, consists partly of forest on a clay background. The clay that is in the soil here is called pot clay. The special properties of this type of clay, which is rare in the Netherlands, have been decisive for the area's unique cultural history and natural values. A beautiful nature reserve.
