In 2017 kochten wij de motorspits Eva van Klaas Jan Koopmans. gedurende het kooptraject hadden wij diverse (technische) vragen, die werden aldoor door Klaas Jan professioneel beantwoordt. Het kopen van de spits, voor ons de eerste keer, met als doel daar op te gaan wonen is immers een heel proces. Klaas Jan heeft ons keurig begeleid tot aan de notaris. Tijdens het aankoop proces hebben we diverse malen de werf in Harlingen bezocht. Stuk voor stuk lagen daar 'projecten' die keurig werden aangepakt. Ouderwetse kwaliteit en een goede begeleiding! During the purchase process we had various (technical) questions, which were always answered professionally by Klaas Jan. After all, buying the rush hour, for us the first time, with the aim of living there is quite a process. Klaas Jan guided us neatly to the notary. During the purchase process we visited the shipyard in Harlingen several times. Piece by piece there were 'projects' that were handled neatly. Old-fashioned quality and good guidance! A	Anne Vossen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bij Klaas Jan Koopmans hebben wij onze Kempenaar laten verbouwen tot woonschip. Klaas Jan is echt fantastisch. Hij denkt met je mee vanaf het eerste moment en heeft zoveel ervaring in het staalwerk en verbouwen van schepen dat hij overal wel een of meerdere antwoorden heeft. De tweedehands aluminium patrijspoorten die hij bij ons in het schip heeft geplaatste, heeft hij eigenhandig zodanig aangepast dat er geen koude brug ontstaat, en toen wij een keer slagzij maakten omdat we onder een paal bleven hangen, hebben de poorten geen druppel water doorgelaten. Klaas Jan heeft hart voor zijn werk, zijn staal en zijn schepen en hij is in ons scheepse leven onze held!...We bevelen hem ten zeerste aan voor iedereen die zijn stalen casco wil omtoveren tot een bewoonbaar prachtschip. At Klaas Jan Koopmans we had our Kempenaar converted into a houseboat. Klaas Jan is really fantastic. He thinks along with you from the first moment and has so much experience in steelwork and shipbuilding that he has one or more answers everywhere. He himself adapted the second-hand aluminum portholes that he placed in our ship in such a way that there is no cold bridge, and when we listed once because we got stuck under a pole, the ports did not let a drop of water through. Klaas Jan has a heart for his work, his steel and his ships and he is our hero in our ship life!... We highly recommend him to anyone who wants to transform his steel hull into a habitable beautiful ship.

He and his team made a wonderful steelwork to transform a fright-ship into a houseboat. His work is perfect, his ideas are very useful and his prices and all the handlings are very fair. And of course very important - everything right in time. We think it is the perfect “Ijzerwerk” for ships.
