Absolutely beautiful hotel with exquisite service and amenities. The room was well-equipped and very comfortable! The shower - fantastic, the floors are even heated. Our dogs were also warmly welcomed and provided treats, a comfy dog bed and even pet bags for our walks! Major bonus points! The lobby was very welcoming and lovely to relax in. My partner and I grabbed wine from the bar and enjoyed reading our books in the cozy couches. Again, the service and staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. We can’t wait to come back!

A fantastic hotel, beautiful ambiance and very modern rooms. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Clean, nice staff, but expecially the design is amazing.

Beautiful hotel with exceptional service.

Hotel is good, but it has a strange design!, which some people may not like it!!

Our original room (202) was without curtain/blinds and so the light of the corridor kept us awake all night. We asked to be moved and the staff member who showed us the new room told us this is a well-known problem. In both rooms, taking a shower meant that the entire floor was inundated by water (all plumbers were on strike when they completed this facility apparently). Wifi sign was either non-existent or less than 10% of what you expect. In short, a nightmare experience (not even talking about confusing information, such as being told that breakfast can only be at 11 am because of the need to spread people as a result of Corona and being told by the manager of the breakfast room that it closes at 10:45 am). The overall impression is that this hotel is totally unworthy of 5 stars and totally unworthy of being associated with the brand name Marriott. Never again!

Such a nice hotel. The beauty of a church built in the 1400s, but a modern and upscale vibe. The grounds are exquisite. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Everything is impeccably clean. Good location, too… close to the city center. Dinner in the courtyard was also phenomenal. This is the only place i will stay when returning to Maastricht!

This is a wonderfully unique hotel to stay at. It is a smashing of modern and post medieval all put together. This is definitely a must see. Enjoy dining under high arches of an old church. The rooms are extremely modern. The only thing that we would have liked to have been able to do is control the temperature In our room. As explained by hotel staff, this is not possible. The rate of ventilation can be controlled; however, the temperature itself cannot be controlled.

The bones of this hotel are stunning. The location is also great. The service is absolutely top notch. Also, the morning breakfast was good, albeit 30€ per person, and the in-room toiletries were good quality. There was a Nespresso machine in the room with coffee and tea, as well as some nice chocolates. That said, the interior designer for this hotel who picked out the furnishings needs to understand that good design also needs to include comfort. It is as if the interior designer only wanted their target audience to be 21-30 year olds. However, at 350-400€ a night, the hotel should consider that maybe some older people, like myself, may want comfort as well as design. For example, all the sofas were too low. The chairs were these post-modern plastic and resin styles that were trying way too hard to be cool with zero effort to be comfortable. Another example, the ceiling light fixtures looked like large flying saucers that literally blocked some the original ceiling. The original ceiling is one of the best parts of the hotel. A third example, my room had 3 different glass doors. Each glass door was clumsy and noisy. The bathtub was painfully long and narrow, suited only to bathe a gazelle. There was also a wooden door in the room that led to nowhere, literally. Opening it only triggered a single song to play repeatedly until the door was closed. (No, I’m not kidding.) My last example, the bed. Despite having a pillow menu, which was nice, the bed itself was too soft and too low to the ground. The bed linens were good quality. In the future, I’m less likely to stay at this hotel and more likely to stop by for a drink or a coffee in the bar, which had banquettes that were one of the few comfortable places to sit. I really wanted to love this hotel. However, for all the aforementioned reasons, I just couldn’t.
