About LAB111
In de zomer van 2016 kregen wij de sleutels van LAB111. Sindsdien zijn we met een klein team elke dag bezig om onze dromen te verwezenlijken.
LAB111 is een eigenzinnige cult cinema gevestigd in een monumentaal oud pathologisch anatomisch laboratorium in Amsterdam. Onze eigenwijze programmering bestaat uit bijzondere classics en frisse perspectieven die tot de verbeelding spreken, aanzetten tot nadenken en inspireren. Van verdiepende documentaires en moderne klassiekers tot onconventionele genrefilms.
Naast de bioscoop kun je exposities komen ontdekken, vinden er debatavonden plaats en kan je in BarStrangelove dineren of juist lekker barhangen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So I just went to go for a movie and a drink. And ended up staying for dinner. What an unexpected and pleasant surprise, great food and great drinks! And real ginger beer, not ginger ale, but ginger beer. Have the movie and main course deal for €20 and save yourself €6 euros.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a cinema this is an amazing venue for movie aficionados, there is a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The seats are comfortable enough and the screen is clear and large to see everything well on.
I watched mad god here and the experience was phenomenal

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The LAB111 theater is located in a quiet and pleasant area, the inside is designed with this vintage artsy vibe. Cool drink area before the start of the movie, and the movie screen is a nice size to enjoy the movie.
My big pain point was the lack of coordination from the staff when people had to find seating. The staff relieved on a sign displayed on screen for customers to safely seat during the pandemic guidelines. But what should had been done, is for the staff to label the seating themselves and monitor if people are following the rules. There was also the problem of letting customers walk into the room during the start of the movie walking in the dark. Those people were randomly seating anywhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great art-house movie theatre, in the old Pathological-Anatomical Lab. Often has a mix of more alternative and classic movies. Off the beaten track in Amsterdam West. Has a really nice bar with good beers and seating as well.
