A	A vanA on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Er was eens een heel mooi stukje bos, een oase van groen mos en jonge denneboompjes tussen de grote bomen, totdat ze meenden het bos te moeten "onderhouden" en er met grof geweld en zwaar materieel alles vernielden, onbegrijpelijk. J	Joost on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooi stuk bos dat bijna helemaal omringd is door andere natuurgebieden zoals het Maartsendijkse Bos, Goois Natuurreservaat De Zuid, Het Smithuyserbos, het Cronebos en Landgoed Pijnenburg en aan de overkant (oostkant) van de Hoge Vuurscheweg o.a. nog de Stulp. Kortom genoeg natuur om een paar uur flink te wandelen, fietsen of paardrijden. Ook loopt er nog een populaire mountainbike route door dit gebied (start bij de Kuil van Drakensteyn) waar je overigens wel een vignet voor nodig hebt. Verder zijn er diverse grafheuvels te vinden. De meeste aan de oostkant van de Hoge Vuurscheweg, maar 3 gelijk bij de weg naar de parkeerplaats Lage Vuursche. Als laatste kun je met een beetje zoeken de Drakesteijn steen vinden (zie google maps).
