 The house is inhabited and not accessible. The country house is clearly visible from the main road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zeer mooi onderhouden landgoed met brede wandelpaden en vergezichten. Oude boerderijen & grote landhuizen/kastelen vlak bij elkaar. Het kasteel is niet geopend voor bezoekers/pottenkijkers;)
1 puntje, ruim al die omgezaagde bomen eens op, of verkoop het als meubel/openhaardhout.
Very nicely maintained estate with wide walking paths and views. Old farms & large country houses / castles close together. The castle is not open to visitors / prying eyes;)
One point, tidy up all those felled trees, or sell it as furniture / fireplace wood.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prachtig afwisselend landgoed. In tegenstelling tot de meeste (helaas voormalige) landgoederen en buitenplaatsen op de Heuvelrug is Leeuwenburg niet op het 'zand' aangelegd maar op de (lage) kleigronden wat goed terug te zien is aan de afwateringsslootjes die kris-kras door het terrein lopen. Aan de waterstand is nog goed terug te zien dat dit ooit moeras is geweest.
Op het terrein is de prachtige, lange Leeuwenburgerlaan terug te vinden met hoog opgaande beukenbomen die langs afwisselende percelen loopt. Buiten de laan lopen er nog enkele paden over het landgoed. Door de hoge waterstand zijn deze vaak 'modderig' waardoor goede wandelschoenen aan te raden zijn.
Het terrein is, net als het landhuis zelf, particulier eigendom en uitsluitend per voet te betreden. Er zijn geen specifieke parkeer- of stallingsplekken in de buurt.
Beautifully varied estate. Unlike most (unfortunately former) estates and country estates on the Heuvelrug, Leeuwenburg was not built on the 'sand' but on the (low) clay soils, which is clearly visible in the drainage ditches that run criss-cross through the site. The water level clearly shows that this was once a swamp.
The beautiful, long Leeuwenburgerlaan with soaring beech trees can be found on the site, which runs along alternating plots. Outside the avenue, there are still a few paths running through the estate. Due to the high water level, these are often 'muddy', so good walking shoes are recommended.
The grounds, like the mansion itself, are privately owned and can only be entered by foot. There are no specific parking or parking spaces nearby.
