★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De poortje is een Rijksmonument. De poort komt vanaf een andere locatie in de stad. De oorspronkelijke plek van de Lazarus poort was nl vlak bij het Bolwerk, aan het Nonnenwater en was de toegang tot het toenmalige leprozenhuis. Door uitbreiding van andere panden moest het steen voor steen verhuizen. Maar is zodoende wel bewaard gebleven.
The gate is a national monument. The gate comes from another location in the city. The original location of the Lazarus gate was namely near the Bolwerk, on the Nonnenwater and was the entrance to the former leper house. Due to the expansion of other buildings, it had to move brick by brick. But has been preserved in this way.
