About Le Barrage
Het statige pand met rijke historie in Alblasserdam heeft een prachtig restaurant design volgens de laatste trends. Kosten noch moeite zijn gespaard om de gasten een welkom gevoel te geven. Van boven tot onder is er gewerkt met hoogwaardige materialen. De halfronde zitbanken zijn afgewisseld met losse tafels voor een optimale bezetting maar met een geborgen gevoel voor de gast. Met recht één van de mooiste restaurants van Zuid-Holland. Tevens finalist tijdens de Entree Award in de categorie; beste nieuwste restaurant concept 2019.
Door de verschillende lagen in het restaurant is er voor afwisseling gezorgd. De lange bar in het souterrain zorgt voor een cocktail avond. De bovenste etage biedt ruimte voor een vergadering en private dining voor een groter gezelschap. De private lounge voor een intiem diner of lunch voor een kleiner gezelschap. Het restaurant gedeelde op straatniveau is voorzien van een openhaard en een gevoel van fine dining. In de serre zit men, doormiddel van de grote raampartij, eigenlijk op het terras. Ideaal voor de Hollandse regenachtige dagen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As beautiful and thoughtfully designed as this restaurant is, the food is the real star of the show. We were seated in a cozy booth with a view of the water and near the fire place. I ordered the smoked salmon appetizer and the short ribs and my dining companion ordered the quail app and the duck. Everything was delicious and impeccable in its presentation. The service went above and beyond and never faltered even though we were the last to leave. The wine pairing was perfect. The sommelier, Wilbert, was very knowledgeable, attentive and welcoming. He showed us the wine cellar and allowed us to take the opened bottle we had with dinner home as I had to drive and couldn't help. To top it off, they brought out a sparkler candle to go with the dessert we ordered as we were celebrating a birthday. We can't wait to go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like this place, it has a very fancy but cozy atmosphere. The food tastes nice and they have nice selection of wine. Their personel are friendly and check up on you often. However it might be a bit difficult for disabled people to access. The prices are on the high side. Renting a boat with them is also very pleasant and you can get some food and drinks with it too.
They also allow animals within the restaurant. Definitely recommend.
