★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het is best de moeite waard om daar een kijkje te nemen. Je kan de lichtopstand ( soort vuurtoren) ook beklimmen als je goed ter been bent.
 It's worth taking a look there. You can also climb the light curb (kind of lighthouse) if you have mobility problems.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heerlijk plekje om even uit te kijken over het water. Jammer dat er wel een picknicktafel staat maar geen afvalbak is. De lichtopstand zelf is een mooi historisch monument. Het bord over de geschiedenis staat er wel maar een beetje raar dat het bord 100 meter verderop staat.
Lovely place to look out over the water. Too bad there is a picnic table but no waste bin. The light stand itself is a beautiful historical monument. The sign about the history is there but a bit strange that the sign is 100 meters away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het stenen gebouwtje onder de toren deed dienst als opslagplaats voor de brandstof waarop het licht brandde. In de Tweede Wereldoorlog is de toren flink beschadigd geraakt. De plaatselijke smid B.M. Verhoef heeft de toren na de oorlog hersteld.
Het licht op de toren is op nieuwjaarsdag van 1996 gedoofd. Daarna heeft de toenmalige gemeente Strijen zich erover ontfermt. In 2005 is de toren gerestaureerd en is er een wandelpad naartoe aangelegd.
The stone building under the tower served as a storage place for the fuel on which the light burned. The tower was heavily damaged in the Second World War. The local blacksmith B.M. Verhoef restored the tower after the war.
The light on the tower went out on New Year's Day of 1996. After that, the then municipality of Strijen took care of it. The tower was restored in 2005 and a walking path was constructed to it.

A beautiful piece of nature on the water. Enough paths for walking, a beach for fun in the water, the 'lighthouse' and good parking.
