★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een 'oke' torentje. Het past niet echt bij de rest van het park...maar het is wel een eyecatcher.
 An 'okay' turret. It doesn't really fit in with the rest of the park ... but it is an eye catcher.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lighthouse is een kunstwerk van de Italiaanse architect Aldo Rossi in Park Valkenberg in Breda. Het is opvallend dat deze vuurtoren in Breda staat, een stad die geen geschiedenis kent met de zee en dus nooit een vuurtoren heeft gehad. Het is 18m hoog en in Postmodernistische bouwstijl. Het kunstwerk werd op 9 oktober 1992 onthuld door Ed Nijpels, toenmalig burgemeester van Breda, door een vuurpijl af te steken bij de vuurtoren. Oorspronkelijk heeft het kunstwerk in het Wilhelminapark van Breda gestaan, maar na protest van de bewoners is het verplaatst naar de Academiesingel.
Lighthouse is a work of art by the Italian architect Aldo Rossi in Park Valkenberg in Breda. It is striking that this lighthouse is located in Breda, a city that has no history with the sea and has therefore never had a lighthouse. It is 18m high and in Postmodernist architectural style. The artwork was unveiled on October 9, 1992 by Ed Nijpels, then mayor of Breda, by setting off a rocket at the lighthouse. Originally, the artwork was in the Wilhelminapark in Breda, but after protest from the residents, it was moved to the Academiesingel.
