About Limburgs Jeugd Symfonie Orkest
Samuel Agustín Aguirre (1993) is geboren in het Colombiaanse dorp Bolívar waar hij zijn muzikale talenten ontwikkelde. In 2014 startte hij zijn opleiding als dirigent bij Jan Cober en sinds 2019 studeert hij tevens orkestdirectie bij Sander Teepen. In 2016 heeft Samuel als solist bij de Philharmonie Zuid-Nederland concerten verzorgd in Limburg en Brabant. In 2005 ontving hij - toen nog hoboïst van jeugd symfonieorkest Amikejo - de eerst André Rieu aanmoedigingsprijs. In 2017 kreeg hij de 'WMC talent award'. Sinds 2018 is Samuel hoboïst van het Nationaal jeugd Symfonieorkest uit Colombia. Als gast-dirigent heeft hij onder andere gewerkt bij het stedelijk jeugdorkest uit Medellin en het Europese Unie Harmonieorkest.
