★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditionele voetbalclub... Als je aan Friesland en voetbal denkt, dan schieten bij de meeste voetballiefhebbers Cambuur of SC Heerenveen binnen. Maar Friesland kent aardige verrassingen. Een van die verrassingen staat in Sneek, waar de Friese voetbalclub LSC 1890 de trotse eigenaar is van een van de oudste houten Nederlandse tribune. Deze tribune kent een wel heel bijzondere geschiedenis: Het bouwwerk heeft in de Tweede Wereldoorlog het leven van veel mensen gered, de tribune werd tot twee keer toe bijna afgebroken en het is een van de weinige nog bestaande houten tribunes in Nederland. Voor deze Vergane Glorie word je meegenomen naar Sneek.
 Traditional football club ... If you think of Friesland and football, Cambuur or SC Heerenveen come in for most football fans. But Friesland has nice surprises. One of those surprises is in Sneek, where the Frisian football club LSC 1890 is the proud owner of one of the oldest wooden Dutch grandstands. This grandstand has a very special history: The structure saved the lives of many people during the Second World War, the grandstand was almost demolished twice and it is one of the few remaining wooden grandstands in the Netherlands. For this faded glory you will be taken to Sneek.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leuke club, rijke historie. De eerste club die een jeugd afdeling had. Jammer dat de accommodatie ook nog grotendeels uit die tijd stamt.
Nice club, rich history. The first club to have a youth section. It is a pity that the accommodation also largely dates from that time.
