De Stichting Vrienden van de Maartenskerk zetten zich in om dit 10 eeuwen oude prachtige historische gebouw, voor nog eens 10 eeuwen in stand te houden. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooie kerk. Je komt hier echt tot rust als je de ruimte op je in laat werken. Als je er open voor staat ligt er veel interessante geschiedenis te bekijken en te lezen. Het orgel is voor een jaar uit de kerk in restauratie.
Nice church. You will really relax here if you let the space work on you. If you are open to it, there is a lot of interesting history to view and read. The organ is being restored from the church for a year.

Particularly beautiful atmospheric Protestant church from 1724 where we were allowed to experience a great children's Christmas service.

Het is de oudste kerk van Texel en een 1000 jaar oude sarcofaag is te zien met inscriptie van de maker..niet de overledene, nog niet alles wat er staat gegraveerd is " vertaald".
Zeer vriendelijk..... De moeite waard!
Prachtig ook zoals die kerk temidden van de kleine straatjes staatsmedia kunstaterliers e.d.en winkeltjes... Zeer mooi dorp!
Guided tour with explanation,
It is the oldest church on Texel and a 1000 year old sarcophagus can be seen with the maker's inscription .. not the deceased, not everything that is engraved has been "translated".
Very friendly ..... Worth it!
Also beautiful like that church in the middle of the small streets of state media art equipment and the like and shops ... Very beautiful village!
