★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didn’t expect at all the beauty of this place and the surrounding area. The coffee place at the top has an amazing view overlooking the Maas river and the underground tour was amazing. Our guide was very attentive, knowledgeable and funny and really kind to our kids. Definitely a kids friendly place with a lot of history and unique atmosphere!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty impressive. The marking on the wall closest to the roof were from the miners dating back to around 1560. It was stated that the black spots on the roof were from the oil lights back in the 1500s. Will recommend the trip to other people!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This a unique experience and a must do in Maastricht. These caves are built to extract limestone in old ages. The tunnels extend for a vast area in the hill. The guide was very informative about the history about the place. We booked the English language tour. There were 16 people for the tour. Tour takes just over an hour and was very interesting. Ticket was 9.50 per person and was well worth it.
