First we had cheaper magnets but we didnt find anything. Once we got the Magnetar's magnets we found a lot and we saw the difference between the cheaper magnets and the Magnetar magnets. At first it was scary because it would attract bridges, jetties and side rails but once I learned it's field distance I could take it with me anywhere without it 'grabbing' things I was passing. Once confident with it I found it's real power and it takes more than little old me to pull this animal off its prey. This beauty simply will not let go without a fight. Having salvaged such things as, a honda mst 125, an almost complete street lamp post, full crown fence siding and too many pennies to count, I simply had to buy a second one for my daughter. This is the best magnet purchase I have made by far, and I've bought various magnets from various companies. The customer service with magnetar is also something that should be commended. Dealing with this company is simple and their service is second to none. Having experiened a minor issue with my initial purchase, they could not have responded and resolved the issue any better than they did. Great company + fantastic product = happy mag fisher. Thanks guys.

The power is incredible and had to fight a few times to release something, but it picks up everything and had a few interesting finds with it. Only suggestion I'd give, is maybe a small non metallic tool to help tighten the nut.
