β β β β β If one wants to buy at MediaMarkt, be prepared that there's no service offered.
We wanted to return a product bought online, first thing is the online system didn't recognize the order number. The return couldn't be processed online.
Secondly we called the service line, a lady explained that she didn't speak English (yes we are in the Netherlands).
Lastly we chose to go to one of the shops. It was our turn and we came in 2, some service guy said in the service section only 1 person is allowed at 1 service window. I looked around, at least half of the cashiers had 2 people standing in front of it. But no, it's different for service. A 2nd person is not allowed at the same service window, not when you are from the same household, not when you keep the distance (there was plenty of space to keep the 1.5meter), and not when 2 out of the 4 service windows were unoccupied.
What's the difference? The only thing I could deduce is when I'm paying I am a customer, and when I come (back) for service I'm apparently not (any more).
Nowadays with plenty of other online stores and also smaller shops in the city which would be willing to offer service to get customers, I do not think I will ever want to come back again.

β β β β β I had a problem with online store and the Cal center recommend me to visit the store to solve the service issue, I went there and I was very surprised with the customer service, they spend a lot of effort to solve my problem in a very friendly way! Thanks a lot! I decided not not buy from online store anymore and I definitely will go to this store to buy again.

β β β β β I ordered a rather expensive product online and had to return it, the return was on time and receipt was acknowledged. First they managed to use my VAT number instead of the bank account number (facepalm) to send the money into the abyss, and then effectively ignored all my messages. All in all it took more than 3 months to get the refund.

Music section isn't that big but they still have pretty good music. Except Foals I've been waiting for an album from them in one of your stores for soo long already.

β β β β β The laptop was given under warranty to the mediamarkt with a fan problem. It turned out that the mediamarkt has sent a laptop to the "official" HP service, which is comserve in den-Bosh. Repair was done on time and that's it when it comes to positives. Laptop less than a year old, used and kept in good conditions was returned in an awful state. The lower case was pulled by force instead of using a tool designed for that. Plastic is discolored at overload points, screws wrongly screwed in, not quite deep. They stick out and scratch the surface on which the laptop is placed. Screws heads are toured and it is not possible to take them out. One of the rubber foot is missing from the bottom. Second one glued bad. No quality at all. They should be ashamed for something like that. If I would do service like that, I would be fired same day. This company is a JOKE. Good-looking laptop has become scratched junk that lost value. Mediamarkt did good but 2 stars only given because despite the bad reviews about comserve, they continue to cooperate with them, exposing their clients to LOSS. I prefer to buy online from competitors, than to be exposed to such losses because mediamarkt is not interested in who they cooperate with.
