The task was to develop a workshop aimed at creating a bottom-up process for the IKEA store-centres (Ingka Centres). They had the need for figuring out how to expand these centres and wanted to include as many people in the process as possible; storeowners, sales and cleaning personnel – even the baristas from the cafès and the store guards. In short; every single person working these centres.
I developed a visual and creative workshop where the participants co-created suggestions on how to expand(/enhance?) their centre. Following this, we went into the actual store-centre and presented the ideas in plenum with the store management.
This has since then been established as the general way to gather new ideas on how to expand the centres.
