R	Renate Van Nieuwaal on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ik heb nu 2 keer een fotoshoot gehad met Merel, terwijl ik eigenlijk niet zo dol ben op de 'standaard' fotoshoots. En dat is dus precies haar kracht, want naast de kwalitatief goeie foto's weet Merel de shoot zo ongedwongen en relax te doen dat je de camera vergeet, en op gaat in het moment. Dat levert hele mooie, spontane foto's op, herinneringen voor het leven! I've had 2 photo shoots with Merel now, while I'm actually not that fond of the 'standard' photo shoots. And that is exactly her strength, because in addition to the high-quality photos, Merel knows how to do the shoot in such a casual and relaxed way that you forget the camera and become absorbed in the moment. This results in very beautiful, spontaneous photos, memories for life!
l	louise don on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Na het zien van de mooie foto’s bij vrienden hebben we contact opgenomen met Merel voor een zwangerschapsshoot. Al snel kregen we een reactie terug met daarbij de uitgebreide, heldere brochure. Helaas konden we door omstandigheden uiteindelijk niet op de afgesproken datum. Gelukkig was Merel zo flexibel om een andere datum beschikbaar te stellen. Voorafgaand aan de shoot heeft ze ons geadviseerd over de kleding, superfijn! Onze dochter voelde zich meteen op haar gemak bij Merel waardoor de shoot heerlijk ontspannen verliep en we echt onszelf konden zijn. De eerste resultaten ontvingen we binnen enkele dagen na de shoot en we zijn razend benieuwd naar de rest van de foto’s! De preview was al top. Dankjewel Merel! We komen graag terug als de kleine meid geboren is! After seeing the beautiful photos with friends, we contacted Merel for a maternity shoot. We soon received a response back with the extensive, clear brochure. Unfortunately, due to circumstances, we were ultimately unable to arrive on the agreed date. Fortunately, Merel was flexible enough to make another date available. Prior to the shoot she advised us about the clothing, super nice! Our daughter immediately felt at ease with Merel, which made the shoot wonderfully relaxed and we could really be ourselves. We received the first results within a few days of the shoot and we are very curious about the rest of the photos! The preview was already great. Thank you Merel! We look forward to coming back when the little girl is born!
J	Jamie Den Heijer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wij hadden het geluk dat we een fotoshoot gewonnen hadden met een winactie, maar hebben kort daarna meteen een shoot bij geboekt. want we waren niet alleen onwijs gelukkig met de prachtige foto’s, ook was het een hele leuke ervaring! Ik had daarvoor nog nooit een shoot gedaan en was bang dat het wat ongemakkelijk zou zijn, maar dat was het juist totaal niet. Merel voelde meteen super vertrouwd en zelfs mijn verlegen dochter kroop snel uit haar schulp bij merel. Ik raad dit oprecht aan bij iedereen, foto’s zijn voor altijd. Met de brochure en de duidelijke site weet je meteen waar je aan toe bent, wat ik persoonlijk heel fijn vind. Het contact verliep ook heel goed, merel reageert snel en we vonden het erg fijn dat je zelf een keuze uit alle foto’s kon maken. We hebben 2 shoots gehad, maar dit gaan we zeker vaker doen ! We were lucky to have won a photo shoot with a giveaway, but we immediately booked another shoot shortly afterwards. because we were not only very happy with the beautiful photos, it was also a very nice experience! I had never done a shoot before and was afraid it would be a bit awkward, but it wasn't at all. Merel immediately felt super familiar and even my shy daughter quickly came out of her shell with Merel. I sincerely recommend this to everyone, photos are forever. With the brochure and the clear site you immediately know where you stand, which I personally like very much. The contact also went very well, merel responds quickly and we really liked that you could make a choice from all the photos. We have had 2 shoots, but we will definitely do this more often!

Tijdens de fotoshoot zelf was het helemaal top, Merel gaf advies maar we mochten totaal ons zelf zijn en het was opgegeven moment totaal niet meer ongemakkelijk om voor de lens te staan. De foto's zijn erg mooi geworden en kijk er elke dag met plezier naar! Fijn dat we zelf de foto's uit konden kiezen via een online platform! Merel is a very nice photographer! Before the shoot took place, the contact with Merel was very nice. During the photo shoot itself it was great, Merel gave advice but we were allowed to be ourselves completely and it was no longer uncomfortable to stand in front of the lens at a specified moment. The photos turned out very beautiful and I enjoy looking at them every day! Nice that we could choose the photos ourselves via an online platform!
J	Jeanne van Nieuwaal on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een 'coupleshoot' gedaan bij Merel Steenwijk. Het contact vooraf was prettig. Ik kreeg altijd snel een reactie op vragen. Merel dacht mee over locatie en kleding. Merel bood aan om de fotoshoot te verplaatsen zodat wij mooi weer zouden hebben op de shoot in plaats van regen. Erg aardig meegedacht! Dit leverde een 'golden hour' op. Voor ons was het de eerste keer dat mijn man en ik een shoot deden. Door Merel voelden wij ons meteen op ons gemak. Dit kwam met name doordat zij veel aanwijzingen gaf en humor gebruikte. Wij vonden de shoot erg leuk en gezellig om te doen. Na de shoot mochten wij een selectie maken uit een online galerij. Dit is erg prettig omdat je hierdoor zeker weet dat je de foto's krijgt die je zelf het mooiste vind. We kregen al snel de foto's en waren ontzettend blij met het resultaat. Zo blij dat we binnenkort opnieuw een fotoshoot hebben bij Merel met andere familieleden. Did a couple shoot at Merel Steenwijk. The contact beforehand was pleasant. Je vergeet bijna dat ze een camera op je richt! Ze geeft duidelijke instructies en heeft super leuke ideeen. Bovenal heeft ze een goed oog voor licht , achtergrond; kortom: voor het perfecte plaatje. Wij hebben een familieshoot gedaan met opa, oma en onze 10 weken oude dochter en waren zo verliefd op de foto’s dat we ze (bijna) allemaal hebben gekocht. Zeker een aanrader. Wij kunnen niet wachten op de volgende shoot :) Communication was very easy and clear from the start. Merel is super good at making everyone feel comfortable. You almost forget she is pointing a camera at you! She gives clear instructions and has great ideas. Above all she has a good eye for light, background; in short: for the perfect picture. We did a family shoot with grandpa, grandma and our 10-week-old daughter and were so in love with the photos that we bought (almost) all of them. Highly recommended. We can't wait for the next shoot :)

In 2020 was Merel er als trouwfotograaf op ons huwelijk bij. Samen met haar man Stefan (videograaf). Het was een feestje om ze er bij te hebben. Het was net of ze onze gasten waren. De beelden, zowel foto als video, zijn prachtig!! En ik kijk er nog dagelijks naar. Merel is een echte aanrader! Merel captured us as a family in 2019. How happy we were with the images she shot then! In 2020 Merel was there at our wedding as a wedding photographer. Together with her husband Stefan (videographer). It was a joy to have them there. It was as if they were our guests. The images, both photo and video, are beautiful!! And I still watch it every day. Merel is highly recommended!

Merel heeft bij ons een zwangerschap en newborn shoot vastgesteld en die waren in één woord: fantastisch! De communicatie vooraf ging vlekkeloos. Dat wij iets verlaat waren door file was geen probleem. Tijdens de shoot voel je je op je gemak (ja, ook als man) en geeft Merel je instructies om de mooiste foto's eruit te krijgen. Heb je zelf wensen, voorkeuren of ideeën? Alles is mogelijk. Al met al zouden wij iedereen aanraden om een shoot af te nemen bij Merel. Wij zullen in ieder geval graag nogmaals gebruik maken van haar diensten. En neem een kijkje op haar Instagram om jezelf(of je partner) over te halen ;-) My girlfriend and I have been following Merel on Instagram for a while and have fallen for her style, quality and eye for capturing the beautiful moments. Merel has established a pregnancy and newborn shoot with us and they were in one word: fantastic! The communication beforehand was flawless. That we were slightly late due to traffic was no problem. During the shoot you feel at ease (yes, also as a man) and Merel gives you instructions to get the best photos out. Do you have your own wishes, preferences or ideas? Everything is possible. All in all, we would recommend everyone to take a shoot at Merel. We will certainly be happy to use her services again. And take a look at her Instagram to convince yourself (or your partner) ;-)
