Miniworld Rotterdam - Weena 745
Richtlijnen corona: vanaf vrijdag 25 februari is Miniworld weer gewoon open zoals normaal, zonder extra maatregelen. Er is geen coronatoegangsbewijs meer nodig. Ook het dragen van een mondkapje en het houden van 1,5 meter afstand binnen Miniworld is niet meer verplicht. Er geldt geen bezoekersnorm meer. Het reserveren van tijdsloten is dus niet meer nodig en mogelijk.

Miniworld Rotterdam biedt een verrassend dagje uit. Hier is voor iedereen wel wat te beleven. Kom langs en ontdek ruim 650 m2 van deze prachtige en adembenemende miniatuurwereld. Sfeervolle en uitgestrekte polderland- schappen worden afgewisseld met de moderne en historische architectuur van ons "Rotterdam in miniatuur", inclusief de grootste overdekte miniatuurhaven van Europa. Kijk goed en ontdek de vele opmerkelijke details en verhalen van deze unieke wereld.
Je komt tijd en ogen tekortLet op... in Miniworld Rotterdam duurt een dag maar 24 minuten. Voor je het weet wordt het nacht en fonkelen duizenden lampjes in het donker. Als de dag weer aanbreekt, ontwaken de 27.000 inwoners en komt de wereld tot leven. Overal snellen treinen naar hun bestemming. Vrachtwagens brengen hun lading naar de grootste miniatuurhaven van Europa... alles is in beweging! Eén ding verandert nooit: het weer is hier altijd prachtig, want Miniworld is een binnenattractie, met airco!
Nieuwste bouwproject: Groot-BrittanniëMomenteel bouwen wij aan de grootste uitbreiding van onze mininatuurwereld sinds 2009, namelijk een ruim 190 m2 groot bouwdeel met het thema Groot-Brittannië. Van de krijtrotsen van Dover, via de glooiende heuvels van midden Engeland, tot de spectaculaire bergen in de Schotse Highlands. Natuurlijk komt de rijke spoorhistorie ruim aan bod met vele spectaculaire viaducten, bruggen en (historische) spoorlijnen die Engeland en Schotland kenmerken. Engeland is al voor een groot deel gereed. Schotland staat in de startblokken. Dit project biedt daarom een mooi kijkje achter de schermen van hoe wij onze miniatuurwereld bouwen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointing. It is a place that you can see in less than 30 minutes.
First, I had to wait because nobody was selling the tickets. Later I was asked to pay my ticket and, only after I paid my ticket, the girl who was selling them asked me if I have QR code (protocol indicates it would be the other way around, so you do not pay if you cannot enter)
The design is really not friendly if you want to enjoy the view of the miniatures. Inside the big exposition there are only 3 chairs together, (a maximum of two people could sit down with the 1.5 meters of distance).
And it gets even less friendly if you have little kids. Because this place has a small place for kids, but if your kid wants to play a little, you will have to consume in the restaurant. Because that area "it is part of the restaurant", so, apparently, the restaurant is totally independent. Then, plus your ticket, if you want to use other facilities, that could have an extra cost. I would not reccomend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice place to visit in Rotterdam, near the Central Station. They have models for many places in Netherlands, but not all. I'm very impressed by the automation of the vehicles around the structure. This is a very good place for kids, might not be that interesting for adults. The only downside is the price (around €12) for the comparatively small number of models.

My mother could not go to the lower floor, because the lift was out of order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This tourist (domestic and foreign) attraction is really incredible! Rotterdam in miniature. The attention to detail is incredible. Yes it's small and you would probably spend less than an hour but it's really worth the admission price. This miniworld is to be enjoyed by kids and adults alike.
