Moeke Ginneken - Ginnekenmarkt 17
Iedereen komt graag bij Moeke over de vloer. Voor een kop koffie, een broodje of om ’s avonds lekker aan te schuiven voor het eten. Moeke zorgt voor de hapjes en de drankjes. En natuurlijk een gezellige sfeer. 'Ik zit even bij Moeke' is dan ook het mooiste excuus om het wat later te maken. Om net iets langer te genieten, te tafelen of nog een laatste drankje te bestellen.
Maar Moeke’s wil is geen wet. Bij Moeke kan alles. Het is er altijd gezellig. Een plek waar je elkaar ontmoet en waar je je vrienden mee naar toe neemt. Bij Moeke is ruimte voor alles. Heerlijk genieten op het terras, een drankje aan Moeke’s Bar, een lekker bord eten uit Moeke’s keuken, een goed gesprek aan één van Moeke's tafels of de voetjes van de vloer. Bij Moeke is het altijd feest.

Reason for low score is the attitude and performance (or lack thereof) of the staff on a relatively quiet evening where one person was behind the bar trying to cope with orders from the various others working the room. Crazy inefficient and when she spoke back to us (“I have other orders to fulfil”) and served a customer who had just come in I had lost my desire ever to come back here. Pity.

Toilets are upstairs. Baby Change is upstairs and a plank.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really liked this place. It has a fairly broad menu for a bar of its size. The staff are polite and professional and table service is done well. I had a fillet steak that was cooked rare and it was really good. I had a stroganoff sauce on the side which wasn't in the same league as the steak sadly. The selection of beers is very good and far more varied than what you get in the UK. The decor over the Christmas holidays is really well done making it very inviting.
