De molenaar in die periode gebruikte de wieken van de molen om signalen af te geven aan mensen die in dit gebied waren ondergedoken. The mill was built in 1832. Since the second world war, the mill has been called De Trouwe Wachter. The miller in that period used the blades of the mill to send signals to people who were in hiding in this area. Beautiful windmill that you pass when you walk the Vredevoetpad. Nice walk, with beautiful views over the meadows. Unfortunately could not enter the mill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De wiekstanden zijn niet meer zo flexibel als vroeger. De molen is op vrijwillige basis af en toe draaiend te bewonderen.
The blades are no longer as flexible as they used to be. The mill can be admired while running on a voluntary basis.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooie en vooral fotogenieke plek om een fraaie foto te maken. Deze molen ligt mooi gelegen aan de Tienhovense plassen en is goed per fiets of wandelend te bereiken. Deze molen is een wipwatermolen en stamt uit uit 1832. Vooral als het windstil is, is hier adembenemend. Het ligt op de weg tussen Tienhoven en Hilversum. Het is een aanrader om de molen te bekijken en hier te gaan fietsen of te wandelen.
Nice and especially photogenic place to take a nice photo. This mill is beautifully situated on the Tienhoven lakes and is easily accessible by bicycle or on foot. This mill is a rocking-water mill and dates from 1832. Especially when there is no wind, it is breathtaking here. It is located on the road between Tienhoven and Hilversum. It is recommended to view the mill and go cycling or walking here.
