Great experience with Mollie so far. The payment system is easy to use, the dashboard is convenient, and helps our customers with easy purchases online. So far no problems or any issues experienced, the only drawback is that no transfers are made on weekends which is understandable. Anyway, very happy with the cooperation as they fulfil all our online payment needs.

On first sight Mollie looked great. Online in 15min. My experience however was different. Quickly after applying I was asked for more information about my company. Which I happily provided. And as a next step I waited for weeks. In those weeks I spoke to Customer support a couple of times. And they told me everything seemed fine. So I waited and waited. Eventually I got the most generic email declining our application for no reason. Stating security risk ??‍♂️My company provided all the necessary paperwork. Also just to mention my company has an official bank account, PayPal and payment integration with Apple Pay. Like there is no reason for Mollie not to accept us, so we can service our customers in the West European market best. So instead of setting out guidelines or ask more paperwork to get verified they even removed our company account… really bizarre. So I went into the office in Amsterdam to see if they made a mistake, which obviously can happen. But the receptionist asked my name and company name and kinda send me off. Not even our email, phone number or even the customer ID were taken.. which at this point leaves me disappointed and confused. Here I am a starting entrepreneur with all the right paperwork excited to partner up with a technology partner successfully service customers and do business with eachother and instead being left in the dark… As much as I want to say something positive, this was such a bad experience. It makes me wonder on what basis the rejection was made. I hate to speculate, but my company is providing decent sporty underwear targeted at the LGBT market and I am pretty gutted if that is the reason a company from liberal and progressive Netherlands would reject it coz of that. Kinda posting this for other people to look at alternatives. Save yourself the disappointment and time waste. With Stripe, Apple Pay and PayPal you can also cover the banks in West Europe. In an iDeal world (pun intended), I kinda hope this can still be settled and corrected. But at this point after removing our account, I have no idea how.
