★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This disaster was, for Amsterdam, the biggest disaster to date. The El-Al cargo plane perished and took not only the crew, but also the life of all the inhabitants of a large housing estate!
It was a very big loss for the city of Amsterdam.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I guess this gets four stars. It seems like a bit of a morbid thing to review. This is, in effect, a single tombstone for countless unnamed victims of an airline crash into a densely occupied apartment block.
Why 4 stars instead of 5? It doesn't do a great job in its role as a memorial in that there is nowhere to sit and reflect.
I know. Kinda ghoulish. But what else is a memorial to be rated on?
It is pretty, poignant, and well maintained.
