About Morentz
Our company (est. 2006) has been built on our love for twentieth century design. We are both a gallery and craft workshop in one. We have everything under one roof and are housed in a characteristic 1930s shoe factory that spans 23.500m2 in total. We have a restoration and upholstery workshop, a photography studio, warehouse and showroom. No object leaves our company before it is completely checked both technically and art historically.
Our strength lies in a combination of knowledge and intuition, the head and the heart. This is how we operate through every layer of our company. We curate our collection based on intuition, which we back up by art historical and technical research. We restore the pieces based on our feeling for aesthetics, with understanding of the technicalities and material of the piece. Over the past years, this combination has led to us being one of the largest design specialists in Europe. At our warehouse, it is a constant coming and going of pieces from all over the world.
The most important thing is that we truly care about design as much as our clients do. We therefore aim for excellence, both in the pieces we sell and in the service we offer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Van buiten een mooi beeld van de schoenenindustrie die de Langstraat op de kaart heeft gezet. Helaas is deze fabriek niet altijd van binnen te bezoeken. Met openmonumentendag wordt vaak een uitzondering gemaakt, neem dan ook gerust je kans waar. De aankleding van binnen is prachtig.
From the outside a nice picture of the shoe industry that has put Langstraat on the map. Unfortunately, this factory cannot always be visited from the inside. An exception is often made with Open Monument Day, so take your chance. The interior decoration is beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the place to be for vintage design furniture. Set in an old shoe factory you will find a large treasure and high variety of furniture. Furniture can be upholstered as one wishes. Even if you don't intend to buy it is great to visit for inspiration.
