Pleasant place to visit and kids would love the exhibits, all in a old school building. Has a nice cafe bar. There is no information about the WW2 occupation though which was disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An interesting yet small museum, lots to see about the history of Scheveningen and maritime life. Definetely more fun for children as there are interactive portions and a small aquarium. And the gift shop is full of gorgeous shells from all around the world.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow, definitely come here instead of the depressing Sea Life! Small but clean and well maintained aquarium area towards the end. The kids really enjoyed the whole museum, even if they were creeped out a little bit by the dolls recreating 1900 scenes. ? Very nice staff as well. Amazing terrace - what a great spot for a beer on a sunny day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gives a quick glimpse at Scheveningen history, and way of life of fisherfolk. Nice little aquarium exhibit at the end and cozy courtyard for some coffee and cake. The staff was very welcoming. Would have given more stars but the text was mostly in Dutch.
