Who we are

We are NAFVSM, a specialized manufacturer of high quality glass products. We produce ampoules, vials and tubes out of tubular glass. Our products are used in the pharmaceutical industries, hospitals, laboratories, cosmetic industries, electro technical, building and food industries.

NAFVSM has subdivided its business activities into the following two business units:

We have a plant in Nijmegen, The Netherlands (NAFVSM B.V.) where our ampoules and vials are made and a plant in Andeville, France (NAFVSM S.A.S) where the tubes are manufactured.

NAFVSM is a family owned business that is managed by the family Eijkenboom for over 70 years. In 1950 ‘De Nederlandse Ampullenfabriek’ was founded in Nijmegen by Mr. Eijkenboom. In 1988 his two sons, Harry and Martijn, succeeded him. They bought the ‘Verrerie Soufflée Mécanique’ in France in 1997. In 2013 both companies were merged to NAFVSM with its headquarter in Nijmegen.

Currently we have more than 60 employees working at the both plants. Our employees work paperless and we use the SAP software application. The NAFVSM products are produced according to ISO 9001 and ISO 15378. We only work with European suppliers for the raw materials.

We work with modern manufacturing technologies and management systems. All our production lines are equipped with cameras for quality inspections. Our production process is set up according to the Lean philosophy. We only produce on customer order and do not keep any stock.

Production capacity

At NAFVSM, plant Nijmegen, the ampoules and vials are produced on vertical production lines. There is an annual production capacity of:

• 150 million ampoules
• 36 million vials
• 24 million tubes

At NAFVSM, plant Andeville, the test tubes and screw neck tubes are produced on horizontal production lines. The annual production capacity is:

• 150 million test- and blood collecting tubes
• 55 million screw neck tubes / culture media tubes

Where we differ

NAFVSM is an internationally operating organization that serves customers from all over the world. Because of our broad experience in manufacturing glass products we know how to satisfy our customers’ demands and needs as good as possible. Our aim is to keep on improving the quality of our products and our service. We do this amongst other things through the investment in the newest technologies. We achieve short delivery times by producing a large range of standard products according to international standards. Besides the manufacturing of glass products, we offer services in filling and sealing (only non pharmaceutical products, we do not have clean rooms). Our expertise, our team work and our quality in the products and services enables us to serve our customers in the best possible way.
