Natuurkampeerterrein New Soerel - Pas-Opweg 8072

Wij zijn al jaren fan van dit terrein!een oase temidden van de bossen. Wat wel miste deze keer was het bezoek v/d boswachter...en...handhaving..tav regels omtrent COVID-19..trekkersvelden dicht..doch...mensen reserveerden( vlgs zeggen)een andere plek(maar.plek.vlgs hen niet mooi...of te dicht bij sanitair etc)en zetten vervolgens de tent op het trekkersveld...jammer

Ruime plaatsen, veel mooi bos en heide in de omgeving. Geschikt voor fietsers en wandelaars. De boswachter komt elke dag even kijken of alles goed is. We hoorden van andere bezoekers dat ze last hadden van muizen. Het was ook niet helemaal stil bij de verkeerde windrichting (geluid van de snelweg of het militaire oefenterrein). Vandaar 4 ipv 5 sterren.

Mooie camping veel stroom plekken en zelfs met hevige regenval goed weg te komen met de camperbus. Boswachter komt regelmatig checken. Kleine vuurplaats.

Prima kleine camping. Rustig en midden in de natuur. Enige nadelen, niks voor kinderen op de camping en de douches zijn niet echt warm.

Toilet is ruim en keurig, gras is mooi groen en plekken groot. Centrale vuurplaats. Midden in het bos, enorm pluspunt. Prima camping, niet bijzonder verder. Eenvoudig, geen smeuïge details die deze plaats onderscheiden.

To bad for the noise of the highway

Very unfortunate that I have to write this bad review, I usually don’t like to be negative. When we got to the campground, our RESERVED spot had been given away to someone else. (We had two adjacent spots since we are vacationing with our relatives.) So the reservation system is inadequate, or the communication, or whatever they would like to blame for this. Most spots on the campground were empty but seemed to be booked.. We decided, since the other spot was large enough for all of us and nobody in charge was to be found, to leave one spot open and both set up on the other spot. Again, there was enough space. We consulted with the neighbors and nobody seemed to mind. Then the ranger came by. We HAD to move, because even though he acknowledged that the fault was theirs he wouldn’t make an exception. We only have one night here! We’d be gone in 15 hours! There are no more or less vehicles on the campground, but no.. we had to pack up and move roughly 30 metres. Unbelievable. Again, I usually don’t want to be negative. But in this case: The bathrooms aren’t clean, there is no toilet paper (and no warning about that), there are ‘probably’ enough power outlets but make sure you bring a large enough cable because you might need up to 30 metres depending on the spot, and for a ‘forest’ campground there are too many restrictions and too small spots. It’s just a normal campground, nothing special. At least not making it worth the extra fuss and extra cost/membership/etc. Very disappointed. Will not come back here again, and writing a complaint letter when we get back home..
