★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De Nicolehoeve is een oase van rust op het prachtige eiland Tiengemeten.
Het huis is voorzien van vier slaapkamers waarvan drie op de bovenverdieping en een op de begane grond. De matrassen zijn helaas knetterhard en synthetisch. Dat is echt wel een serieus minpunt. Wij verbleven hier een lang weekend wat nog wel te doen was maar een week zou me te lang zijn gezien de kwaliteit van de bedden.
De badkamers zijn prima en zien er netjes uit. De keuken is ook voorzien van alle standaard gemakken. Waarbij ik wel aanteken dat er wel wat zaken ontbreken, zoals grote borden en schalen en andere aanverwante zaken. Maar al met al prima!
Waar het huis in uitblinkt zijn de (woon)keuken die ruim opgezet en sfeervol is. De algehele sfeer in en om het huis en de locatie midden in de natuur. Je hoort de hele dag de vogels zingen en de wind door de bomen ruisen wat voor een heerlijke sfeer zorgt waarbij je echt het gevoel hebt eruit te zijn.
Aangrenzend aan het huis staat een houten huisje met overkapping waar een grote voorraad gekliefd hout staat en waaronder de zwaluwen een aantal nestjes hebben gebouwd.
Vanaf het terras kijk je uit op een groot grasveld omgeven door bomen. Echt een fantastische setting!
Voor een ieder die er echt even uit wil zijn midden in de natuur en de rust wil opzoeken raad ik deze plek van harte aan!
The Nicolehoeve is an oasis of peace on the beautiful island of Tiengemeten.
The house has four bedrooms, three on the upper floor and one on the ground floor. Unfortunately, the mattresses are rock hard and synthetic. That is really a serious flaw. We stayed here for a long weekend which was still possible but a week would be too long considering the quality of the beds.
The bathrooms are fine and look neat. The kitchen is also equipped with all standard conveniences. I do note that some items are missing, such as large plates and dishes and other related items. But all in all fine!
Where the house excels are the (living) kitchen which is spacious and attractive. The general atmosphere in and around the house and the location in the middle of nature. You hear the birds singing all day long and the wind rustling through the trees which creates a wonderful atmosphere where you really have the feeling of being out.
Adjacent to the house is a wooden house with a roof, where there is a large stock of split wood and under which the swallows have built a number of nests.
From the terrace you look out on a large lawn surrounded by trees. A truly fantastic setting!
I highly recommend this place to anyone who really wants to get away from it all in the middle of nature and find peace and quiet!
