β β β β β NIO Architecten gave it to me the perfect opportunity to start my profesional career. They opened the arms to me during one year and a half and I learned a lot there. Especially about the basics of the architecture inspired by other fields like art, music, films and nature. It is a nice international team where you can develop yourself as much as you want.

I improved architecture skills and learnt creative thinking about new modern architecture. The atmosphere was friendly, I felt really comfortable working there. I can recommend this office.

It has been an amazing experience; professionalism, passion and technique are the main characteristics in the studio that you can learn and develop. Worldwide team with a great mind leading, Maurice Nio. With them, every day is a new opportunity to learn and to design a great project.
If I would have the budget to build, I would ask the project by NIO Architecten.

The atmosphere was great, all employees were very kind and supportive.
It gave me great opportunity to learn from a man with a very wide imagination and a huge knowledge.

β β β β β I was an intern in Maurice's studio for 4 months and I believe this was a great decision and opportunity for me. The studio is nice and cozy, with amazing, young people from different backgrounds, countries and experience working there. It gives a great diversity in points of view, approaches and opinions which leads to interesting discussions and ideas.
Maurice himself is kind, calm person with big imagination and innovative design approach and view for architecture as something more than a craft but also as a form of art. This is visible in all of the studio's projects, while all unique, they have this special touch, a style that is definitely his. It was great to work under his guidance and view a more philosophical aspect of architecture. He pays great attention to detail and how the building communicates with its surroundings and both the physical and emotional impact it has on people.
The project I worked on was a city hall in a nearby city. He let me experiment and try different solutions until reaching a design we both liked and felt confident is the best fit for the situation. I was flattered by the trust and responsibility I had in this project but also always felt I have his guidance.

β β β β β I worked at NIO Architecten as a professional intern in 2019 after graduating in Italy in Master's degree in Architecture. The experience at NIO was highly satisfying as I undertook different urban and architectural projects and created relationships with professional figures such as clients, developers, engineers and international colleagues to work and share knowledge with. The aim of the office is ambitious as it ties together many aspects of architecture including art and creative initiatives, and during my internship I had a chance to participate and actively be a part of these moments which enriched the overall experience. In short, a great chance to improve as a professional and a fun work environment to do so!
