★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aan de bocht in de Mientsloot deze forse grondzeiler die nog steeds actief is in het bemalen van de Groot Limmerpolder. Staat vrij in de wind, heeft geen last van bebouwing in de buurt en is dus een fraaie klassieker in het Noord-Hollandse landschap. Bijzonder bij deze (niet te bezichtigen) molen is de gigagrote vijzel: als het hard waait, kan de molen tot honderd kuub per minuut wegwerken. Een beetje watermanager weet dus: goed onderhouden, deze oue jongen.
At the bend in the Mientsloot, this sturdy ground sailor who is still active in draining the Groot Limmerpolder. Free in the wind, is not affected by buildings in the area and is therefore a beautiful classic in the North Holland landscape. A special feature of this (not to be visited) mill is the giant auger: when the wind blows, the mill can remove up to a hundred cubic meters per minute. So a little water manager knows: well maintained, this old boy.
