β β β β β ONVZ is the WORST insurance I've ever dealt with. Especially for expats! Avoid! They refuse to reimburse your medicines and treatment. They tell clients different things by phone and by e-mail. In general: they do everything to get money from you without paying any bills afterwards. I am about to complain to SKGZ!

β β β β β have been with ONVZ for many years now. declarations are extremely simple to do and they pay within a couple days. plus the aanvullende verzekeringen is totally worth it. except the private hospital bed insurance. when i needed it, the hospital did not honor it and i was stuck in a room for days with 6 people men and women mixed

β β β β β Doubted for months to post this but after another refused bill I've had enough. I've been with ONVZ since 2008 (12+ years) but the last 4 years they've just become an incredible hassle to deal with. Support is always nice and courteous but it's always a dead end. As an expat I even get regular doctor visits denied. I pay β¬200 EUR a month (β¬2,400 a year mind you) for an extended insurance and so far they've re-imbursed β¬93 in medical cost. And you have no idea how many times I've followed up for that 93 EUR. They even wanted me to pay a translator cause the language of the bill wasn't supported while it was pretty clear the name of the medication was the same as the the one that's on the obligatory list of the dutch government. Meanwhile they talked themselves out of paying 800 euro for a shingles treatment and now a doctors visit for a corona test. I've had enough. I'll be ending my insurance with them and warn everybody to stay for away.

β β β β β Never ever deal with that shady company! Your bills will be never reimbursed! The employees lie by phone. Please don't believe some "sweet" fake reviews here apparently arranged by them. Cheating!

β β β β β Definitely not for expats!!! they do all they can to delay the application. sending numerous request by email with encrypted message. They also make reference to emails and questions they never asked and claim that if you do not answer they cannot process the application. Even in USa it had been easier for my family to get insured.
After more than one month of back and forth i decided to change to another plan much simpler

β β β β β I had been patiently waiting to get in touch with one of your employees on the phone..had been waiting so long (more than 45 minutes) it was so long that my phone battery ran out...this is not the first time..my patients has now run out onvz..

β β β β β I joined this insurance company this year and I was very unhappy. The quality of the services do not meet the price I pay each month. Firstly, I was told a wrong information about refunds from abroad. I asked upfront about the conditions of the refunds and in the end it was the contrary and I had to pay for all the treatments on my own. Secondly, I am supposed to have physio treatments included in my package but in reality only their eligible physio specialist apply to this, so I would have to stop going to my normal physio doctor in order to get the refund. There is also not much information online about this. I cannot wait to switch my health insurance company.
