Vroeger was echt niet alles beter, want Willemstad was een uithoek wat met moeite bereikbaar was. Als je daar als kind opgroeit, dan lonkt al snel de grote stad naar je. En dan, na jaren wordt daar de familiedag gehouden en ontdek je weer waar je vandaan komt. Onze gids had een harde dobber aan onze familie, maar heeft zich goed staande weten te houden. Petje af. Wil je op ontdekkingstocht in Willemstad, dan zou ik Op Stap in Willemstad zeker aanbevelen. In deze authentieke, gezellig stad kan je een namiddagje rondwandelen en genieten van de historische woningen, de oude windmolen, de prachtige koepelkerk met toegankelijke toren of gewoon in de natuur van de omwalling gaan wandelen, waar schaapjes grazen tussen de vervallen, maar grotendeels toegankelijke ondergrondse gebouwen.
