This is surely the most mind-numbing part of Amstelveen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The instruction at this metro stop of getting to the 55 bus stop (Amstelveen direction) is useless at all. The only available exit is on the other side of the bus stop. So here is the simple way to get there. When you are at the downstair exit of the metro, TURN LEFT. Go all the way straight, you need to cross an injunction first! In fact, you can see the bus stop on you left (on the other side of the motorway. Keep walking straight a bit for less than 1 minute, there appears magically a crossing for pedestrian.
